OpenEZ ZDSII

OpenEZ based on Zilog’s ZDSII tools

Description

This project is a port of OpenEZ for the Zilog eZ80L92 to the Zilog ZDSII toolset. The

original work is compiled with IAR tools. The conversion is based on OpenEZ version 0.86.

It is our intent to merge the IAR build with the ZDSII build when the project is further along.

03/07/2005 - No updates regarding this effort have been received for a very long time. I am now assuming that Karl was unable to get the code working using Zilog’s tools, and was forced to abandon the project. This does not surprise me, the information I have received from other developers is that the Zilog tools are still not ready for prime time. However, Zilog continues to make new releases of their tools, and at this point my personal knowledge of the state of their tools is very out of date.

Work Completed

• Modifications to the OS for compilation.
• Some modifications to the lwip stack.

Work Planned

• Test the OS stand-alone (no tcpip/stack).
• Complete the modifications to the lwip stack.
• Integrate the OS and the stack.
• Merge the two sources so that any future changes will be reflected in both versions.
